A Kingston-based Registered Dietitian, Theresa Schneider has hiked in the Canadian Rockies and the Himalayas and participated in rowing marathons. She has rowed the Head of the Charles in Boston, Head of the Trent in Peterborough and annually participates in the 'Run for the Cure'. Schneider is a specialist in medical nutrition therapy and sports nutrition. She has practiced in Ontario and Saskatchewan and with First Nations Canadians in Northern Ontario. Her experience has included everything from critical care trauma nutrition to community health projects and work with athletes from nearly every sport.

Registered Dietitian/Sports Nutritionist/Health Services Consultant Theresa Schneider received a Bachelors of Applied Science Degree in Human Nutrition, from the University of Guelph. She completed her internship at Toronto General Hospital. In 1992, she received her Masters of Public Health from the University of Minnesota. She is a member the College of Dietitians of Ontario, The Canadian Diabetes Association (Diabetes Educator Section), the Dietitians of Canada and is an official service provider for the Coaching Association of Canada and the Canadian Sport Centre Ontario.

Theresa's nutrition experience includes: team sports nutrition, interim university lecturer, health services consultant, and diabetes educator. She has worked with high performance athletes and provided programming and lectures for business administration programs and sports teams.

Nicola Day BASc, RD, MSDAY COLOR edited

With over 20 years experiences as a registered dietitian, Nicola has provided individual and group nutrition counseling in a variety of settings including acute care, community health centres and public health.  She has also developed and delivered nutrition curriculum for community colleges and has authored several consumer nutrition resources and education programs.  Each of these opportunities has contributed to her passion for finding innovative approaches to teach and motivate adults to eat in a healthier way.  She is keenly interested in facilitation techniques, motivational interviewing, behaviour change theory and mentorship as tools in nutrition education. 

Nicola received a Bachelor or Applied Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Guelph.  She completed her Dietetic Internship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto and earned a Master of Science in Adult and Continuing Education from Kansas State University.  She is a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario and the Dietitians of Canada.

Erin Ostler, BSc, RD

Erin Ostler graduated from McGill University in 2013 with a BSc in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics and completed the required 1-year internship at various hospitals in Montreal, Qc. Since graduation Erin has been working as a Dietitian in the Brockville and surrounding area providing homecare nutrition counseling through the Community Care Access Centre to patients of all ages (infants to older adults) as well as working at a private clinic in the 1000 Islands region as a Dietitian and Certified Personal Trainer. Erin has continued to increase her knowledge and skills in the areas of sports nutrition, weight management, digestive health, pediatrics and more.

This is Erin’s passion and profession. Attaining and maintaining good health requires small but gradual lifestyle changes that should not only be enjoyable, but also something that is “realistic” and will leave you feeling more energized and confident in the long-term! There is no single plan or program that works best for everyone. Everyone's body is different and deserves a counseling approach unique to their needs, beliefs, schedule, and goals. Erin takes a collaborative team approach to find what will work best for the client using evidence-based practice. She is a member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario and Dietitians of Canada.

Most clients come to the clinic for 3-5 visits and may return at any time to work on further goals.
